POLICIES:

Care of your Rental Cabin:

Each home is owned by a resident of the Dakotas who love the Black Hills.  The owners trust us to take care of their homes when they have to be away.  They expect that anyone renting their home will also treat it with care as well as respect the furnishings & art in the home.  We are all very respectful members of the Edelweiss homeowners association.  We only want renters who will also hold high regard for the beauty and serenity of our hidden little community.

Minimum Stay:

All homes require a minimum of a THREE night stay.  This policy is in place to reduce burdening the homes with too much wear and tear.

Unwelcome renters:

If you are looking for a party, one night stay, to be loud, leave trash in the home at check out, sneak in pets in homes that do not allow pets, smoke in a home that does not allow smoking, sneak additional unpaid people in the home, or to drive fast through the community these homes are not available.

Deposit Policy:

To reserve a cabin for your specified dates we require a credit card deposit of one night's stay.  The deposit will be applied to your rental balance due.  Your remaining rental balance due will be collected at check-in.  (For more details on the reservation procedure see the 'Contact Us/Reservations' link.)

Cancellation/Refund Policy:
  • Cancel within sixty days of your reserved arrival date:  100% refund of your deposit, less a $25 processing fee.

  • Cancel within 59 days or less:  0% refund, unless we can re-rent the home for your dates.

  • Refunds will be mailed within two weeks of cancellation notice.

  • Absolutely no refunds after check in.

Damage Policy:

We reserve the right to charge your credit card for any rental home damages resulting from carelessness or abusive use of the home.  There will be no charge for small breakages resulting from normal wear & tear during considerate use of the home.

Maximum Occupancy per Home:

A maximum number of persons allowed to sleep in each cabin is identified at the top of each cabin's picture/description/rate page.  All these cabins are under South Dakota Department of Health and Fire Safety regulations.  Fire Code allows NO EXCEPTIONS to the occupancy number--so don't ask!
